Terms of Service, DPDP Act Compliance & Hardware Liability Policy

Mandatory Legal & Safety Notice: By installing, purchasing, powering on, or connecting any ATB Digital controller, microcontroller module, relay node, or mobile application, you explicitly consent to the data processing practices under the Indian DPDP Act, 2023 and acknowledge all strict hardware liability and electrical fault exclusions detailed herein.
1. Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 Compliance
Indian Law (Act No. 22 of 2023)
ATB Digital operates strictly as a Data Fiduciary in accordance with Section 2(i) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We collect and process only the minimal telemetry and credential data strictly necessary to deliver real-time switching, automation timers, and remote hardware monitoring.
Data Processing & Data Principal Rights:
Lawful Basis & Notice: Personal Data (phone number, email address, customer ID, IP address, and home device identifiers) is collected exclusively upon your explicit consent for specific functionality (relay switching, automated temperature scheduling, and diagnostic telemetry).
Right to Access & Summary: Users (Data Principals) hold the statutory right to request a summary of personal data processed, identity of third-party cloud infrastructure (Hostinger VPS, Mosquitto MQTT, Redis), and purpose of processing.
Right to Correction & Erasure: You may at any time request correction of inaccurate data or complete erasure of historical telemetry, room logs, and database device mappings, subject to statutory retention needed for tax invoicing.
Grievance Redressal Officer (Section 8(9)): In compliance with the Act, any privacy grievance, unauthorized access claim, or data deletion request must be submitted directly to our designated Grievance Officer at support@atbdigital.in. Resolution is guaranteed within statutory timeframes.
All ATB Digital smart automation hardware units are engineered for standard single-phase residential electricity (220V–240V AC, 50 Hz). Customers and installers must strictly observe rated load limits.

Absolute Denial of Warranty & Liability for Electrical Faults:
ATB Digital Solutions holds ZERO LIABILITY, and all replacement warranties are IMMEDIATELY VOIDED upon inspection if the unit exhibits any of the following electrical faults:
440V / High Phase-to-Phase Voltage Surges: Burnout caused by loss of the main electricity board Neutral (Neutral Floating), lightning strikes, or line surges exceeding 280V AC that puncture or explode the built-in MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) protection fuses.
Over-Current Relay Contact Welding: Connecting heavy appliances (e.g. 2kW Geyser or Air Conditioner) onto a 6A lighting relay, leading to welded contacts, charred copper tracks, or melted PCB enclosures due to excessive Joule heating.
Phase-Neutral Reversal & Direct DC Shorting: Inverted Phase-Neutral input wiring, connection of 220V AC mains to low-voltage 3.3V/5V microcontroller logic pins, or failure to connect proper building earth leakage protection (RCCB / ELCB).
Faulty Home Earthing & Neutral Ground Voltage: Stray voltage (> 5V between Neutral and Earth) resulting in microcontroller freezes, ESP32 flash corruption, or continuous reset loops.
Users are strictly prohibited from reverse-engineering, decompiling, fuzzing, rate-limit bypassing, or submitting malicious payloads to ATB Digital APIs, MQTT brokers, WebSocket endpoints, or cloud servers.
Cyber Intrusions & Network Vulnerabilities:
If any customer or third-party attempts to sniff, intercept, brute-force API keys, flood MQTT topics, or decompile firmware binaries, their account will be permanently banned with immediate forfeiture of all hardware support. Furthermore, ATB Digital is not liable for unauthorized switching or security compromises arising from compromised local Wi-Fi passwords, default router logins, or rogue network devices connected to the customer's LAN.
4. Physical Enclosure & Hardware Seals
Physical Seal Breach:
Every controller leaves the factory with a tamper-evident quality seal. Any unit that shows signs of forceful casing opening, DIY soldering modifications, bypass of onboard thermal fuses, water immersion, or damp wall installation will be rejected for warranty replacement without exception.
5. Network Connectivity & Telemetry Fail-Safe
Network Dependency:
Real-time app status updates and automatic timer triggers rely on active 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and ISP stability. ATB Digital is not liable for missed notifications or delayed triggers resulting from local ISP outages, power shutdowns, or router crashes. Manual physical wall switch overrides remain operational as an offline fail-safe.
6. 1-Year Limited Replacement Warranty Scope
Our 1-Year hardware warranty applies strictly to internal manufacturing defects and component failures under normal intended residential usage (standard 220V AC, within specified amperage limits). Warranty claims require physical inspection and diagnostics by an ATB Digital authorized engineer.
